ALBINS DIARY – FEBRUARY 2016

By 3rd February 2016 No Comments

Hello everyone

We hope that 2016 has been kind to you all so far.

We are writing this today (2nd February) at a very poignant time. Dad would have reached his 65th birthday. He really was a very special person who touched the hearts of so many.

We thank everyone for your kind, heartfelt messages at this very difficult time. The first celebrations following a loss of someone so dear to you are so hard to face.

We have now completed the majority of the improvement work in the garden.

The new granite niches have been created, the east lawn where ashes are scattered has been modernised, and the pond area has been repaved. The only outstanding work planned is to replace the existing sleeper wall in front of the pond. We will replace the wall with a more permanent concrete structure. The work will take one week to complete and we will confirm the start date very shortly.

We are very pleased to inform you that Lee Cook who is our senior conductor and whom many of you will know, is a father again. Lee joined us almost 25 years ago! Lee and his partner Michelle are very proud parents to a baby girl, Billie. Billie was born in the early hours weighing in at 6lbs. Mother and baby are doing fine. What a coincidence that she was born on Dad’s birthday. Dad is definitely keeping a watchful eye over us from on high.

Kind regards to you all

Simon, Jon & all of our families
