Barry’s Diary - December 2010
07.12.2010
Hello Everybody,
Here we are just a few weeks from Christmas. Snow is falling and the weather is bitter cold, yet still at our annual Christmas Memorial Garden Service on 1st December, over 1000 people turned out to remember their loved ones.
My thanks go out first of all to all the staff here at Albins who made a huge effort to make it a successful evening, to all our guests and ministers who so readily attended, to Bishop Pat Lynch, Deputy Lieutenant Jenny Bianco, Lieutenant Colonel John Bolton-Clark and all our Military guests and last but most certainly by no means least, you our loyal families.
God bless you all..!!
The Memorial Garden is particularly beautiful with three decorated Christmas trees and continuing warmth amongst the winter cold.
As ever this year, I will be here on Christmas morning from 10am – 12pm. The bells will be ringing and carols will be playing - As you visit the garden do stop off and say ‘hello’.
I am ever thoughtful that losing somebody at any time of the year is devastating, but at Christmas time, there’s an additional sharpness to it that is so difficult to accept. So my thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to all those people at such a difficult time.
For all of you that have had to use Albins this year for one reason or another, I would like to take this opportunity of thanking you for your loyalty and trust in us. I never take it for granted and always strive to be as good as anyone can be.
So to all of you, on behalf of myself, my family and staff, may I wish you a peaceful Christmas full of warmth and happy memories and lots of indulgence to one another. In other words, have the best time you can have.
Sincerely,
Barry
