Firstly may I start by wishing you all a Very Happy New Year and to remind you all that happiness is found throughout the journey – not just at the end.

It’s a very hectic time at Albins and my heart goes out to the many local people who are suffering bereavement at this time. Christmas and New Year are awful times for loss and all our prayers go with them.

Having just recently completed a tour of Afghanistan, I am fully aware of the amazing task that confronts our troops there and that many of them are away from their families for Christmas and the start of the New Year. Our thoughts are with them.

We are hoping to extend the offices sometime in the spring. Plans are being completed at the moment and I am certainly looking forward to a new office.

I am pleased to see some of our young horses out in training and they look wonderful in their black winter coats. They seem to have learned so much from the older horses already.

From what people have said, this year’s Memorial Garden Service was one of the very best and my sincere thanks go to all who attended. Please see photographs taken at service. My special thanks to all those concerned in making it such a special evening, especially Fr Alan McLean, Jay and Mags, my sons and all the staff of Albins.

Until next time

God bless
