I can’t believe that a month has gone by already since we last spoke!

We are waiting on another new limousine to match the fleet, which should be around early June. I think this makes our fleet second to none in every way.

It has been a difficult working month for everybody having made several trips to Iraq & Afghanistan and I must say that I am very proud to have a new young apprentice at Albins, Danny O’Callaghan.

Danny is joining us on a three year educational programme at the end of which, he will be a fully fledged Albins member. Danny is a lovely lad with an excellent character.

I have known Danny’s family for many years and first met up with him, very sadly when his brother Lee was killed in Iraq and we went to bring him home to his family. I chatted a lot to Danny around that time and it was his decision to take up this career.

There is going to be a Memorial Day for Lee in Walworth on 14th July, which will be a special day for his family and for the area.

I can only wish Danny all the best for the future.

We are busy working on the Memorial Garden – it’s that time of year and everybody is happily looking forward to their annual holidays.

I am pleased to say that our new branch at Sidcup is doing very well and look forward to it expanding with our usual care in the future.

On Maundy Thursday in church, my prayers and thoughts were also with Rev. Nick Richards, who was with us at this time last year in the parish. He is sorely missed as ever.

Simon is busy preparing for the National Funeral Exhibition in which of course, we are exhibiting along with many of our friends and colleagues.

This will be the biggest exhibition ever to be held in the UK by the funeral industry.

Why not take a look at the website – it is interesting even if you are not in the profession.

Bye for now

Take care & best wishes
