Jade has now been in our care since Sunday morning. Simon spent
most of the day with her family yesterday, making preliminary
arrangements, and a date of Saturday 4th April has been fixed.
Jade's mother, Jackiey, has been in today to make final
arrangements.
On the morning of Saturday 4th April, Jade's coffin will be
conveyed by our vintage Rolls hearse followed by a cortege of four
Daimler limousines and a Bentley (Jade's favourite car). The
cortege will be walked through "the Blue" (Southwark Park Road) to
allow local people to pay their respects. The cortege will then
travel through the Dickens Estate, where Jade grew up, and will
then cross Tower Bridge on its way to St John's Church in
Buckhurst Hill. The cortege will pass through Loughton High
Street.
The family wish the service to be a grand celebration of her life
with music chosen specially by Jade and with tributes led by close
friends and family. The church will hold around 350 people, there
will be a PA system to relay the service to people outside the
church. The service will also be shown on a screen inside the
church hall which will seat a further 200 people.
The church service is planned to start at 12.00.
After the service the cortege will proceed to a private burial
ground near the family home. The family have asked for this part
of the service to be kept private for family and close friends
only and I am sure that people will want to respect their wishes.
Candles by Laurence have gained the gracious
permission of Jade’s family to produce a limited edition memorial
candle for the duel purpose of giving her many fans and well
wishers a chance, not only to own their own Jade memorial, but
also by their purchase, support Jade’s cancer charity initiatives.
