Barry's Diary
Well, as you can imagine August & September to date, has been quite a
traumatic time for me and everybody at Albins.
The loss of dear Fred in his 87th year, was for us all the hardest of
experiences. He is now laid to rest most appropriately in our
garden, where he can still keep an eye on us all.
May he rest in peace.
On a
happier note, we received yet another new limousine, making our fleet
very complete.
Personally, I have
been invited to China in November, to open and speak on Royal Funerals
at a Forum in Shanghai.
I was also invited to The King’s College Trust where I have had some
input in the opening of an ‘End of Life’ care project
We are having a reception in October for both Albin & KCH guests and
colleagues at the RAF Club in London.
So plenty coming up!
The leaves begin
to fall in the garden so there will be hundreds of thousands of them
to pick up soon!
The planning of our Memorial Garden Service continues, please remember
the date:
Wednesday 5th December at 7pm – All welcome!
I am pleased to
say that my grandson Danny continues to improve. Many of you will know
that he was suffering from infantile epilepsy. Our hopes and prayers
for his continued recovery go on.
Also one of our
staff Neil and his wife Claire have given birth to a new baby daughter
Grace. Mother, Baby and Father all doing extremely well as he starts
his paternity leave.
Jackie is pleased to announce the arrival of another Grandson baby
Harry to her son Daniel. Again Mother, Baby and Father all doing well.
– Congratulations Grandma!
We are pleased to
say that we will shortly be awarding some medals to the staff for
their work with the fallen soldiers in Afghanistan & Iraq – Well
deserved and a big ‘Thank You’ to everyone.
More soon…
Best wishes
