BARRY'S DIARY

 SEPTEMBER 2008

Hi Everyone!

I can’t believe that it’s a year last Monday since our own dear Fred passed away. Still one year on and he is solely missed and mentioned almost every day.  May he Rest in Peace.

The fish have grown so large now in the Memorial Garden pond, that we are having to completely renovate it to make it much deeper.
The rest of the garden renovations are finally complete and I am sure you would agree that it looks fantastic.

For the last two weeks, Emerson our multi lingual Export Manager has been at the site of the air crash in Madrid assisting the families from outside Spain to repatriate their loved ones.
I know it has been a very difficult time and our thoughts and prayers go with him and the families. As ever we are honoured and proud to be involved.

Next week I shall be imitating Eamon Andrews with a ‘This Is Your Life’ event at the Bede Centre. You can get tickets from The Bede Centre if you want to come and see me make a fool of myself!

We are pleased to announce the birth of a baby son George to Paul and his wife Barb – a little brother for Emily. Paul has been with us for over 10 years now and our best wishes go to them all. Congratulations..!

WWe are going through a complete overhaul of the offices upstairs now and will shortly have a beautiful 1847 bell installed to chime and record the dead as they leave the premises.

Just a short reminder about our Memorial Service this year which will take place on Wednesday 3rd December. Gates open at 6pm and the service starts at 7pm – Everyone is welcome.

That’s all for now,

Best wishes
