ALBINS DIARY – AUGUST 2015

By 11th August 2015 No Comments

Dear All,

We are very slowly coming to terms with Barry’s sad passing. Barry was very insistent that “Life Must Go On”.

All of our staff are pulling together as usual at this difficult time to ensure that the service we provide to all our bereaved families remains to the highest standard. This ethos and the legacy that Barry left will continue.

It is so comforting to note that letters of condolence and support are still arriving almost two months after Barry passed away.

We are pleased to report that the wedding of John Whitney to his partner Jordan took place on 5th August. We wish them well for their future life together. Some good news at last! We look forward to his return from honeymoon refreshed and ready to start work again.

We were very privileged to have been asked to assist with the repatriation of those who were killed following the massacre of British civilians in Tunisia. Our staff were initially involved with the liaison between both the Foreign Office and Ministry of Defence at very short notice before the repatriations took place at Brize Norton. A number of Albins staff then assisted with the four ceremonies that took place. The ceremonies were conducted perfectly and our involvement was so much appreciated that we have received a letter of thanks from the RAF a copy of which is attached.

Please enjoy the rest of the summer break.

Again a massive heartfelt ‘Thank You’ to you all

Simon, Jon & all of our families.
